The Store

The Wine Cellar was established in November 1994 under the name Home Brewsters. Our first location was a 376 sq ft kiosk inside what Regina knows as the old Superstore building. In July 1996, The Wine Cellar put down roots in Regal Plaza. Today we are newly relocated to the Regina Warehouse District and are excited to be a part of the #soulofthecity community! At our vint-on-premise, we use state of the art bottling and corking equipment. We have two bottling stations. Each bottle filler is capable of filling up to 600 bottles per hour. Our winery corker will cork up to 900 bottles per hour. Even our shrink capper is fast. In our production area, we use only glass carboys and maintain the highest standard of cleanliness.

Simply come down to our store and have a chat to experience our dedication to fine wine.
Please note the address in the video is out of date. We have moved to 2300 Dewdney Avenue.

The Wine Cellar Regina Team

We asked our people two questions - What is your favourite wine kit? and What is your favourite thing about working at the Wine Cellar? The responses are as varied as the personalities! Come on in and meet our friendly and helpful staff...

"So far, I love the Grenache Syrah Mourvèdre in the CellarCraft Sterling. What I love about The Wine Cellar is the inviting atmosphere, friendly customers and aroma of wine (lol)!

Sarah comes to us with several years of experience in our industry, she is extremely knowledgeable, very energetic and believes in customer service as much as we do.
Ken F.

"I found that wine depends on individual taste. My wife and I prefer the red full body wines - Carmenere, Amarone, Valpolicella. It's good to work for a boss who has his mind in the same place as mine (the gutter!), and everyone works well together. Our customers, loyal and new, are all interesting to talk to."

Ken joined us in November 2011. We can't function without him. He fixes everything in the store. If a part isn't available, he'll make it. Ken helps our customers with that same tenacity.

"The wine I enjoy most is the one which is opened in the presence of friends and family. I very much enjoy working at The Wine Cellar because of the happy, friendly staff and customers."

Ross joined us in September 2012. He, along with Sue, knows every person in Regina, or at least one of their friends or relatives. There is also a good chance that he went to school with them. We love Ross. He is kind, funny and always there to lend a helping hand, whether you are a customer or fellow employee.

"My favourite wines are any big Bold reds, like Cabernet Sauvignon, Rosso Fortissimo and Carmenere. I love working at The Wine Cellar because the environment is welcoming and Heike and John appreciate the work I do and shows that appreciation. It gives me a lot of job satisfaction."

Alex is our newest employee but he has quickly made himself essential to our success! Alex is always willing to help and quick with a smile.
